Louise played a key role in this project,
storyboarding, filming and editing the short film.
Her attitude to her work is exemplary, her analytical
skills excellent, showing a deep understanding of
film and excellent writing skills. Louise approaches
her work seriously and has a flair for film and
creative writing. She is a mature and intelligent
individual.
- Kay Tew (Executive Producer, ‘Cerebration’ 2005)
Louise’s dramatic writing is original and
fresh. She has a vivid imagination and a
genuine interest in stage, film and TV.
Louise’s scenes demonstrated the
sophisticated range of her ability. During
a public post-performance Q&A session of
Black Glass she was able to offer
supporting intelligent criticism about the
play,its characters and construction.
I have no hesitation recommending Louise.
Louise originally came to K’motion as a researcher
for the TNQ project, but after one meeting we formed
a producer/director relationship. Louise is a
dynamic and enthusiastic individual to work with.
She always has new ideas about how to make a project
work and how to get the best out of the material we
have. I look forward to collaborating on our next
project together - a feature fiction film, M4, for
which Louise will be taking the role of scriptwriter.
- Ian Barnor (Executive Producer,’Manchester TNQ’2010)
When I decided to make a short film to promote my theatre
company's début play, Be Rain For Me, Louise Cowley was my
first choice. I was delighted that she agreed to be involved
as the project was important to me and the fledgling company
and would be seen by thousands of people online. I had
previously worked under Louise's direction on a short film
and had been impressed by her tireless passion, patience
and creativity. Meeting with her again for this project
years later I found a technically accomplished professional
with boundless energy and dedication. We were on a tight
budget and time frame, both of which Louise flourished
within producing results which far
surpassed our expectations.
As we were filming in less than ideal
conditions, there was a substantial
amount of post production work to be
done, all of which was professionally
carried out by Louise. I would have
no hesitation in recommending Louise
to other companies and I sincerely
look forwards to working with her
again.
